Low Cement Castable
The low cement castable newly developed by Kerui is a new type of castable with a small amount of binder. The key is to use ultra-fine particles no larger than 10μm. Low Cement Castable Definition and Composition
Low cement castables refer to castables with a lower cement content. Castables that use pure calcium aluminate cement as a binder and have a CaO content of less than 2.5% are collectively called low-cement castables. Our purpose in reducing the amount of refractory cement uses is to improve the fire resistance of the LC 70 castables. Ultra low cement castable refractory material is different from other refractory castables. We use ultrafine powder that has the same or similar chemical composition as the main material and has a binding effect. With this, we use it to replace most or all of the high alumina cement.

Characteristics of Low Cement Castable
1. The CaO content in low cement castables is low, which can reduce the formation of the eutectic phase in the material. Therefore, this improves its refractoriness, high temp strength and resistance to slag attack.
2. The water consumption for blending low cement castable high alumina during construction is only 1/3~1/2 of ordinary castables. Therefore, low cement castables have low porosity and high bulk density.
3. After pouring and molding, less cement will be generated during curing. In other words, as the heat treatment temperature increases, the strength of ultra low cement castable refractory also gradually increases.

Classification and Uses of Low Cement Castable
