Construction Steps of Refractory Bricks for Blast Furnace

High alumina bricks contain more than 70% aluminum and have excellent heat resistance and corrosion resistance. Therefore, it is very suitable for use in high temperature areas of blast furnaces. During the construction process, workers first carefully processed the base layer in accordance with the design requirements of Kerui engineers. This step is to ensure the flatness and structural stability of the construction area. Then, they laid the high alumina bricks layer by layer using a dry-hanging method and used high alumina cement for full bonding.

In special parts of the blast furnace cooling stave, such as the cone and around the nozzle, the construction team used nitride bonded silicon carbide bricks. This can further improve the corrosion resistance of the blast furnace. This type of brick has excellent corrosion resistance and can effectively prevent high-temperature corrosive gases from invading the furnace lining. During installation, according to the guidance of Kerui engineers, workers used precise measurement and positioning. This ensures a tight fit between the special bricks and the main high-alumina bricks.
